We believe that individuals and organizations should focus first on “being agile” as a foundation for success in “doing agile.” Therefore, we recommend you start by successfully completing an Agile Fundamentals course which grants the ICAgile Certified Professional (ICP) certification. As an entry-level certification, the ICP signals an individual's intent to start their agile learning journey and become a professional in the agile space.

New To Agile? Start With Agile Fundamentals

Agile Fundamentals is the first step in the ICAgile learning journey. This entry point is unique in the industry in that it takes a methodology-neutral, mindset-based approach to agility. After all, it is not just about doing agile. It is about being agile. Find an ICAgile-accredited Agile Fundamentals class near you. After successfully completing the course, you will receive the ICAgile Certified Professional (ICP) certification.

 

Which track is right for me?

This track was developed for Agile Coaches and aspiring Agile Coaches, including beginning Scrum Masters looking to take the next step. Agile Project Managers, Analysts, and agile team members with the desire to explore the power of facilitation and coaching also stand to gain from this track. 

This track was developed for Software Developers, Technical Architects, Development Managers, Test Engineers, Technical Team Leads or other team members involved in technical design and development who would like to increase their agile engineering knowledge.

This track was developed for Testers, Test Engineers, Analysts, Developers, Test Managers, or anyone aspiring to these roles with a passion for software quality and a desire to learn and practice agile test automation.

This track was developed for anyone who wants to challenge their current paradigms and bring innovation to their work. Future certifications along this track will cater to specific organizational disciplines such as talent management, marketing, etc.

  Delivery Management Track

This track was developed for senior managers new to agile and adaptive management styles, project or mid-level managers in agile organizations ready to grow their agile delivery management skills, and entrepreneurs looking for tools to enable a balance between flexible leadership and organizational discipline. Scrum Masters, Product Managers, Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Agile Coaches who are passionate about empowering organizations and teams will also find this track rewarding.

This track was developed for Developers, Testers, Operations leads and team members, Managers, Agile Coaches, or anyone currently undergoing or considering a DevOps transition.

This track was developed for Agile Coaches who have completed the Agile Coaching track who wish to take their skills to the enterprise-level find this track most appealing. Also, anyone with a strong background in change management and/or organizational design and a curiosity about agile approaches at the enterprise-level will benefit from this certification.

This track was developed for Business Analysts, Product Owners, Product Managers, Business Subject Matter Experts, and those in roles responsible for maximizing value at scale. Also, anyone with a curiosity about agile approaches to value-driven delivery will benefit from this track.

No. ICAgile does not have a certification renewal fee. Our goal is to help people go on an Agile learning journey. Therefore, we encourage professionals to take the next step by pursuing other ICAgile certifications across our Learning Roadmap.

Yes; many Member Organizations (MOs) offer online classes. Please visit our class schedule and look for classes that list "Computer" or "Online" under the location category.

To earn an ICAgile certification, you must successfully compete an ICAgile-accredited class. During the class, you will be required to demonstrate your knowledge, skills, and agile mindset. Our goal is to ensure that students learn how to be agile while doing agile. Because each ICAgile-accredited course is unique to the training provider who is delivering it, it is up to the training provider to determine how they want to assess their students (e.g., in-class activities, group exercises, etc.). ICAgile does not administer or require a specific exam to become certified. Students who successfully complete a course for certification will receive an invitation from us to view their transcript and to claim their certification on ICAgile.com.

 How do I get an ICAgile Certified Expert (ICE) certification?

ICE certifications are recognized and respected by Agile thought leaders as an endorsement of genuine competence. They are only awarded to professionals who demonstrate competence real-time in front of an expert panel. To qualify, you must satisfy all the learning requirements for a given track. Specifically, you must earn the ICAgile Certified Professional (ICP) certification and the two specialty certifications on the track you're interested in. We invite you to"apply, for an ICE certification after meeting these requirements, at which point we will follow up with specific guidelines, processes, and next steps.
